 Cogswell to Wolf Creek N then US 231 to home.  Beautiful countryside.

Camp Creek-Wolf Creek Road

 US 231 then turn onto Camp Creek Road and left on Wannasaka.  Couldn’t ride up Gant Road ( private ). Returned via Wolf Creek Road.

Cooks Creek Cut Off

 Turn off Wolf Creek Road and head up the Cut Off.  Cross Table Top Mountain and this time  avoid the steep plummet down to Tunnel Mtn and go to Cotton Tops. Home  the same way.

 Over I20 onto Wolf Creek Road, St Vincent Hospital, Veterans Retirement Home and Jeff State College etc.  Crossed I20 to Old Wagon Road.  Returned same way.

Dry Creek Road

 Cool brisk and breezy day on a ride to Dry Creek road all the way to Camp Creek Road. Lovely ride.

Stemley Bridge to I 20

 Like this hilly road through Lake Logan Martin area.  Fun!

Homebrew Knob Part 2

 Beautiful ride on Center Star Road, then Refuge Road.  Turn left onto Homebrew Knob and climb steeply over the knob, turn around and climb over the other side. 

Logan Martin Dam Counterclockwise

Thanks Jon for the Adidas.  They work great as bike shoes.

The other dam way to Logan Martin this time.   Which is best?  They are equivalent.  Both great !

Logan Martin Dam Clockwise

 Rode over Stemley Bridge,right toward  Renfro and finally the dam.  This time I continued  onward to St Clair county and rode into terra incognito.  Luckily a couple of miles away I connected with Logan Martin Road and US 231.  Good ride.

Broken Arrow Road

 A month with no biking and I am going nuts.  Rode to Center Star Road, Depot Road, Broken Arrow, Lock 4 Road, Riverside, and home.

Church Road

Cropwell P.O. to golf course and Church Road.  Beautiful short ride.

US 231

30 mile round trip to Shelby County line.   Nice workout

Stemley Bridge -Riverside Loop

Ride across Stemley bridge and continue to the I 20 interchange .   Continue carefully across the  Interstate to the truckstop.  Turn left onto US 78.  Continue across Coosa Bridge and past Riverside to Hardwick.  Turn toward home.

From Pleasant Valley to Sprayberry, McKessit, Deer Trace and home.  Pretty fun.

No Business Creek

Stay on Center Star Road until Morgan Bridge.  Gorgeous ride.

The altitude is lower but this area reminds me of Piancansilglio a little bit.

Deer Trace

Shortly before the turn for Homebrew Knob turn right on  Deer Trace.  Big beautiful trees and rolling hills.  At the lake I couldn’t find away around I-20 so I retraced my steps.  Fun ride.

A varient of Center Star Road from Pleasant Valley to Morgan Bridge, with a detour to Homebrew Knob.  Beautiful countryside.

A parallel road to Old Coal City Road and just as beautiful.

Wattsville Out and Back

Take  Hardwick to Pleasant Valley Road and on to Old Coal City Road. I turned around at US 231 and came home the same way.  28 miles round trip.

Jump-off Rock

   From 19th street, Cogswell, Bowman Cir, highway 174, turnoff at Lynch Lake Road.  Couldn’t find Jump-off  Rock, will try bike hike next time.

The Schwinn is clocked at 45 MPH!!!

I started out on Easonville to Cook Springs Cut Off, then up to Mountain Top Loop and down the the bobsled run to Tunnel Mountain Road.  A big pickup truck pulled up and asked if I knew he had clocked me at 45 MPH.  We laughed and I took high way 78west.  Surprisingly at Prescott I turned off the back way to Camp Winnataska.  Fun.

Camp Winnataska, Part Deux

Took a shortcut via Easonville and Fricker Farm Road to Wolf Creek  Road .  Up Camp Winnataska Road and a bit higher.  Lovely area.

Camp Winnataska Road

Rode 231 to Camp Creek Road then Wolf  Creek Road.  Turn right onto Camp Winnataska then home.  Will return later.

Chula Vista

From  Cogswell under I 20 then left onto Bowman Circle.  At  Chula Vista Mountain Road continue over I 20.  I was late so turned around.  Will explore later.  Cloudburst just as I returned home.

Cook Springs

Cook Springs Road starts at Alabama 174 toward Odenville .

It ends at Tunnel Mountain Road below Mountain Top Loop.  Lovely Ride.

Took a shortcut via 231,Easonville Road to Hillary Church , and Sweet Apple, to Cooks Cut off, up to Mountain Top Loop.

 Past the firehouse descend steeply to highway 78.  I turned around and steeply climbed back to the top.  Same way home.  Great ride.

Mountain Top Loop

Ride down 231 to Wolf Creek Road and turn left on Cooks Spring Cut off.   Climb to Mountain Top Loop.  Descend same road.  Gorgeous ride!
